Law for Learners partners with legal service providers committed to helping learners overcome legal obstacles. These providers explain the legal process, answer questions, share resources, and provide legal advice, depending on the legal matter.

Community Immigration Law Center
The Community Immigration Law Center strives to ensure dignity and access to justice for people, especially those facing deportation, by providing legal representation and consultations, as well as support and education regarding immigration issues for the community at large.
Community Justice Inc.
Community Justice Inc. (CJI) is a nonprofit law firm that provides people with access to justice by offering affordable legal services from qualified and dedicated attorneys. CJI works with low-income families and individuals to secure fair representation in court, protecting the legal rights of those who would otherwise face the system alone.
Consumer Law Clinic
The Consumer Law Clinic (CLC), part of the University of Wisconsin Law School, provides legal assistance to Wisconsin residents facing consumer debt. With the help of trained law students who are closely supervised by attorneys, CLC focuses on debt defense and earnings garnishment protections.
Family Court Clinic
The Family Court Clinic, part of the University of Wisconsin Law School, provides free legal information and, in some cases, free legal representation to people with limited circumstances. The Family Court Clinic can help with family law matters, such as divorce and legal separation, child custody and placement, child support and more.
Judicare Legal Aid
Judicare Legal Aid is a nonprofit law firm dedicated to providing equal access to justice to Wisconsin residents. Located in Wausau, Wisconsin Judicare Legal Aid is the civil legal service provider for Wisconsin’s northern 33 counties and 11 federally recognized Indian tribes.
Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic
The Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic, part of the University of Wisconsin Law School, provides free legal services to nascent entrepreneurs and early stage companies through the work of law students supervised by faculty and private sector attorneys.
Legal Action of Wisconsin
Legal Action of Wisconsin is the state’s largest nonprofit law firm providing free civil legal services to Wisconsin clients at the most vulnerable times in their lives. For more than 50 years, Legal Action of Wisconsin has changed and improved lives by making sure the civil legal system works for everyone.
LIFT Wisconsin
LIFT Wisconsin provides efficient, technology-driven legal assistance to clear civil legal barriers to economic prosperity for Wisconsin families, to transform legal and court systems to prevent economic drags and to contribute to national reform movements to improve access to civil legal justice.
Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic
The Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic, part of Marquette University Law School, provides free legal advice through the help of volunteer law students and attorneys.
Neighborhood Law Clinic
The Neighborhood Law Clinic, part of the University of Wisconsin Law School, provides free legal information and, in some cases, free legal representation to people with limited circumstances in Dane County and surrounding counties. The Neighborhood Law Clinic helps with legal problems involving rental housing and employment law.
Schuster Family Law
Schuster Family Law, located in downtown Madison, specializes in family law, dispute resolution and representation of children in court as Guardian ad Litem.
Tenant Resource Center
The Tenant Resource Center is a nonprofit that provides free information and training on rental rights and responsibilities to Dane County tenants, landlords, and community members. Their services include housing counseling, eviction court navigation, rental and utility assistance, referrals to free legal representation, mediation between landlords and tenants, and housing support after an eviction.
Wisconsin State Law Library
The Wisconsin State Law Library helps ensure equal access to the law by providing legal materials, information, and technology to court officers, state employees, attorneys, and the public. It also manages the Milwaukee Legal Resource Center and Dane County Legal Resource Center.
